When people ask if I'm a professional photographer, my answer is "I am a passionate photographer!", because I do love it so. I had spent many years in left brain occupations, always knowing my right brain creative side was screaming to get out. As a young person I enjoyed taking pictures, but it was not until later in life that I found photography and creating images to be the perfect outlet. That "Aha Moment" came about a decade ago off the coast of Maui. My husband was photographing humpback whales shortly after making the transition from a 35mm film camera to the digital world. I asked to borrow his new camera one day while out on the boat and never gave it back to him! He literally had to buy another camera. I have fallen in love...

Found abstracts, especially those naturally occurring in nature, are among my favorite subjects - to photograph and to appreciate. This is a beautiful example. The textures, tones, and patterns are varied and, at the same time, harmonious. So pleasing.
