The forces of nature coming together to create a breathtaking scene at Beryl Spring in Yellowstone National Park, United States. With temperatures in the minus 20's this crisp morning, the cold air and the hot water, averaging 196 degrees, creates heavy steam around this hot spring. Moisture from the steam turns to rime ice on the trees in the background. These trees are called ghost trees.

About Ann Skelton
When people ask if I'm a professional photographer, my answer is "I am a passionate photographer!", because I do love it so. I had spent many years in left brain occupations, always knowing my right brain creative side was screaming to get out. As a young person I enjoyed taking pictures, but it was not until later in life that I found photography and creating images to be the perfect outlet. That "Aha Moment" came about a decade ago off the coast of Maui. My husband was photographing humpback whales shortly after making the transition from a 35mm film camera to the digital world. I asked to borrow his new camera one day while out on the boat and never gave it back to him! He literally had to buy another camera. I have fallen in love...
