Description
Way off in the distance, a lone bighorn sheep stands at the mountains edge as the evening light warms the rocky cliffs in the Gardner River Canyon in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, United States.
This scene was about two miles in from the north entrance, along the Gardner River. So much time was spent in this area enjoying the views and wildlife over the years. This area will be forever changed due to the 500-year flood on June 13, 2022.The raging water went right through this canyon taking everything with it, including most of the road.

Gorgeous image! It must be so emotional to see it now. Still amazing but so very different.
